About The Competition
- STEP 1: Record a 20-minute mix (audio & video) and upload the footage as an UNLISTED video on YouTube, Vimeo, Daily Motion or equivalent video hosting platform.
- Contestants MUST be using Beatport LINK during their set.
- Don’t have Beatport LINK? Sign up for a 30-day trial here.
- LINK is fully integrated with Pioneer DJ’s rekordbox, as well as many other DJ programs.
- STEP 2: Upload the link to your UNLISTED YouTube video along with your name, e-mail, social media pages, age and country below. We will notify you once your submitted video gets approved for meeting all proper guidelines.
- STEP 3: Once your submission is approved, set your YouTube video to PUBLIC and share it across your social media platforms, tagging @Beatport and @PioneerDJGlobal using the hashtag #BeatportsBigBreak.
- STEP 4: A panel of judges from Pioneer DJ and Beatport’s curation team will review each performance and select the top eight finalists.
- STEP 5: Finalists will be asked to perform an hour-long set for the competition livestream on Beatport’s Twitch channel. The next edition will take place on April 30th, 2021 so be sure to keep this day free in your diary in case you are chosen as a winner!

Following its recent launch with VirtualDJ, Beatsource LINK has announced an integration with Hercules’ DJUCED 5 performance software. DJUCED is included with Hercules‘ DJ controllers and is used by over 650,000 users worldwide.
Beatsource LINK, which launched in early May, lets DJs stream millions of tracks and access hundreds of curated playlists in their performance software. Premium subscriptions offer Beatsource’s patented offline locker, which enables DJs to perform without an internet connection.
Beatport LINK, which is based on the same technology as Beatsource LINK, is also available in DJUCED 5.
Beatsource LINK can also be used with Pioneer DJ’s rekordbox 6.0.1, Algoriddim’s djay and djay Pro, and VirtualDJ. More integrations are scheduled for this year.
